Detroit Electronic Music Festival

The Drome collaborated with loudbaby.com and RED the real Hart Plaza was beamed into Second Life for the official DEMF virtual afterparty with various DJs back in 2008


Various virtual events at NewcastleGateshead on Second Life

Viva City streamed live to virtual Newcastle following the successful audio streaming of Little Boots at the Evolution Festival earlier this year. Eliza (The Drome) collaborated with Vector 76 and the event was held at The Cluny in Newcastle and simultaneously on Second Life at Newcastle sim, watch Viva City in Second Life

The Drome live audio and video relay to Nottingham Twestival

On 10 September 2009 our resident DJ Coefficient streamed an exclusive set to a special crowd at both The Drome and Nottingham Twestival

The Drome visuals and sounds were projected to crowd in Muse at Nottingham.

Codeworks as part of the Sunderland Software City initiative and sponsered by - NorthernNet The Future of Broadband brought together in one evening specialists from NorthernNet, G-ti, Alcatel-Lucent, IT-PS and Community Broadband Network. Hosted by Brian Condon, a partner in Complexity Groups LLP and board member of Community Broadband Network, the evening was diverse and lively and ended with Q&A panel session fielding questions from both the live audience and virtual world. I'organised for the machinima video and a track to be produced, the links when available will be posted here.


Tyneside Cinema & Pixel Palace

The Drome collaborated to host, organise DJs and video recording (link below) for this live event that took place at the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle which was simultaneously streamed live into the virtual world of Second Life situated on a newly-opened virtual NewcastleGateshead island developed by a local company, Vector 76.

An artist, musician and video maker originally from Leeds and currently resides in London. In addition to live shows around London Bioni also plays at The Drome and features tracks made by producers and labels, he is involved with taking people on a experimental journey into the night. His inspiration started on community and pirate radio and evolved over time into a virtual world. Experimental... his music is constantly evolving through electronic grooves, industrial soundscapes, video matrix's, magnetic distortion, ambient recordings, bass waves and circuit-board rhythms

RED consisted of DJs Jim Bull, Japhy and Marley Cole based in the South East of England. They hosted many house and techno parties in the Hastings area, showcased at special events around the UK and Europe in addition to their fortnightly residency and mixed reality appearance at The Drome . They first appeared at The Drome back in 2008 introduced by Thinker who owned Alpha Box. where Luke Slater first appeared.

Denard Henry and Jana Clemen are DJ/Pproducers from opposite sides of the Atlantic who joined forces to develop a fusion of techno, ebm, electro and industrial dance music. Their Sonic Warriors United (SWU) project is a group of producers and djs who are actively exploring and deploying this fusion, and features artists such as Marita Schreck, C-Dex, Floppy and Reade Truth. Their recent tour of Germany and the US included shows at Tresor, Berlin, and the Sommerstart Festival. They hosted a regular DRIFT event at The Drome.

Robot Recreant [Coefficent] has DJ'd at The Drome on countless occasions, providing us with the finest techno, electro, acid and dubstep sets.

On Saturday 18 April 2009 7pm GMT, Coefficient (Labrynth Records) was guest DJ for Teknology show which is on livesets.com, Coefficient will be selecting a few from the talanted artists signed to Labrynth Reocrds such as Michaelangelo, Ben Gibson, Mike Parker, Sub Space and Telesthesia as well as old and new tracks by UK producers.

Telesthesia (Michaelangelo and Coefficient) - Telesthesia is a new collaboration with Michaelangelo (Labrynth Records boss) which focuses on dark and heavy offbeat rhythms and dense drones for vinyl releases. The first Telesthesia track has just been released and appears on the Time Traveller EP (Labrynth 11).

Fnoob Inernet Radio Station launched in September 2009 with the purpose of promoting as many underground music DJs, Producers and Labels around the world. Fnoob online radio stages a mixture of up and coming DJs from a wide variety of electronic and underground music genres. Fnoob has syndicated live shows to The Drome featuring Mazyee and Kane 44.

FOEM [Forum of Electronic Music] is a producer/DJ forum where you can place your tracks and mixes for others to be heard. The Drome collaborated with a select few for the FOEM 5th Anniversary party in Second Life.

Moebiussurfing - Machinma AV Productions

Specialist in machinima, Moebiussurfing have facilitated for The Drome, Vector76 and The Basement to provide quality video productions including FOEM 5th Anniversary, NewcastleGateshead's Pixel Palace at The Tyneside Cinema and others. His other productions include machinima of other great virtual electronic clubs and festivals, Luke Slater in Second Life. Moebiussurfing also helped facilitate the inspiring DROID mixed reality gig featuring Luke Vibert back in February 2008.

Vector76 developed and own NewcastleGateshead on Second Life. The Drome has collaborated on a few projects with Vector76 and continue to bring mixed reality to Second Life.
